The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you  finally  made  the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq  to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean  more quality to the paintings, am i right?. 
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only  to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

Nikon D70si - finally converted =D

After 1 year of researching, waiting and saving money, I was able to convert my Nikon D70s.
I did the conversion on my own, using an EdmunOptices 670nm IR filter.

Total costs:
Nikon D70s: 200€
Edmund Optics IR-filter: 8€

Still need to check out the auto-focus and everything else, but the camera works and gives me the IR-effect with minimal exposure time as expected and I can use the viewfinder =D

Klingt gut. Mich wundert es allerdings, dass der Filter so billig ist. Kann kaum eine Oberflächenvergütung haben bei dem Preis, oder?

glaub auch nicht, aber who cares, es is der einzige erschwingliche IR-Filter, der eine Dicke von 1,5mm hat :/

Und den Filter von LifePixel für 180$ + Versandkosten kauf ich sicher nicht^^

Die D70s war im letzten Herbst auch meine erste DSLR. Ist echt eine super Kamera. Aktuell habe ich jetzt die D80 (das größere Display ist schon cooler) und als Backupcam die D40. :-)

Mein Setup is zur Zeit etwa gleich, wobei ich immer 2 Cams mithab.

Nikon D70si für Infrarotfotografie und eine D40 für normale Aufnahmen :)
Jez muss nur mehr ein WW-Objektiv hier, mal schaun :)
